How we empower women at Mindnow

As a proud member of Mindnow, a multinational company with employees across seven countries on two continents, a few months back I found myself reflecting on the inspiring discussions at the Forbes Adria Power Women Summit in Belgrade. The summit brought together accomplished female leaders who shared their experiences of challenges such as balancing motherhood and career, confronting inequality, and overcoming imposter syndrome.

These discussions felt particularly meaningful to me because they resonate with the supportive culture we foster at Mindnow, where women are genuinely empowered to grow, thrive, and embrace their unique strengths.

Women in leadership: Driving change across borders

At the summit, the importance of representation in leadership was a key focus. At Mindnow, women hold important roles, driving innovation and decision-making. This is not only a reflection of our commitment to equity but also a recognition of the immense value diverse perspectives bring to a cross-border company like ours.

Asking the big question: “What would I do if I wasn’t afraid?”

One of the most thought-provoking questions discussed at the summit, and one we often explore among ourselves at Mindnow, is: “What would I do if I wasn’t afraid?” Fear of failure, judgment, or not being “enough” can hold us back from achieving our true potential.

By sharing our answers to this question, we challenge each other to dream bigger and take bolder steps. Whether pursuing a leadership role, proposing a new idea, or stepping out of our comfort zones, these conversations remind us to act courageously and believe in our capabilities.

Success is about talent, not gender

A recurring theme at the summit was the importance of shifting the narrative around success. At Mindnow, we firmly believe that success is about talent, not gender. This mindset is reflected in our hiring practices, career advancement opportunities, and workplace culture. Everyone is encouraged to contribute based on their skills and potential, creating an environment where talent shines above all else.

The power of support and collaboration

Another vital takeaway, and a core value at Mindnow, is the importance of supporting each other. Women thrive when they lift each other, celebrate wins, and share advice. At Mindnow, we foster a community where collaboration and success are celebrated. It’s a place where no one feels alone in their journey, and mutual encouragement fuels our collective success.

We are all different and we love that

Perhaps one of the simplest yet most impactful lessons discussed is the importance of self-love. At Mindnow, we encourage everyone to embrace their uniqueness, celebrate their achievements, and extend the same kindness to themselves that they show to others. Loving yourself is the foundation for building confidence, setting boundaries, and leading a fulfilling life, both personally and professionally.

Flexibility and growth

Mindnow’s remote-first approach and flexible working hours empower us to balance work and life way easier. For many women, this flexibility provides the freedom to pursue both professional goals and personal fulfillment. We also offer training opportunities and open discussions that help women tackle challenges like imposter syndrome while continuously growing in their careers.

Looking forward

At Mindnow, we don’t just talk about empowering women – we live it. Through trust, support, and inclusivity, we’re creating a space where women can thrive, grow, and inspire.

To all the incredible women at Mindnow and beyond: Dare to ask, “What would I do if I wasn’t afraid?” You don't have to give up on your personal life, whether you are a mom, soon-to-be, have a pet, or are a travel enthusiast who loves to work from another continent. It’s important that you love what you do, and that you have support and understanding. Your courage, talent, and self-love can take you further than you ever imagined!
