Digital redesign and transformation
Flexible offices, labs and event locations near Basel, but the old website was outdated, confusing and barely usable on mobile. Visitors looking for workspace or event space hit poor UX and outdated technology, and a flexible brand needed a digital presence that could keep up.

iCITY supports companies, creatives and organisers with tailored space concepts across two locations near Basel. The redesign had to restore clarity, rebuild trust on every device, and turn browsing into booking, with interactive floor plans and professional imagery that make spaces tangible before a visit.
The goal: A modern, user-friendly experience

Clear goals for the new site
User-friendly navigation so people find spaces fast. Technical integration into iCITY’s existing systems. A future-proof, scalable CMS so the team can manage content independently.

Storyblok as headless CMS
A clean separation of content and presentation, with thoughtfully planned sections and components, so editors can recombine CTAs, text and layouts without another development ticket.

Next.js and CRM integration
Next.js with Incremental Static Regeneration keeps pages fast and up to date. CRM integration connects tour and event registrations, leads and forms so user data flows into one place for communication and operations.
From concept to implementation
UX, content and development worked as one team, joined by photographers and floor planners. The design system was built for Storyblok’s flexibility: adaptable sections and components, not rigid page templates, so editors can grow the site without constant engineering.
Brand identity in the digital space
iCITY’s physical brand, blue and pink zones, the signature post-it mark, became digital navigation and playful interaction. Hover states and animated accents carry the same innovation visitors feel in the buildings.

Iterative design and user feedback
Usability tests with real users refined information architecture, menu structure and especially the mobile experience. Close collaboration with iCITY kept aesthetics and function in lockstep through every iteration.
Result
A platform as dynamic as iCITY itself: visually sharp, lightning-fast and flexible through Storyblok and Next.js, with search-ready bilingual content, CRM-connected flows, and room to open more doors for the co-working community.
